Original Movies and Series Lineup Coming to Netflix in 2024

I know we’re talking about Netflix originals but Bad Boys: Ride or Die is expected to drop in October and that deserves a mention.

Now to everything else coming to Netflix thanks to “What’s on Netflix”.

October 1st

  • 22 Jump Street (2014) – Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum return for this comedy sequel.

  • Being Julia (2004) – Drama on the life of Julia Lambert, an aging actress facing some difficult decisions.

  • Escape Plan (2013) – Arnold Schwarzenneger goes face-to-face with Sylvester Stallone in this action thriller. 

  • First Daughter (2004) – Katie Holmes stars in this rom-com about the US president’s daughter falling in love at college. 

  • Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! (Multiple Seasons) 

  • Halloween (2018) –  Jamie Lee Curtis returns to one of her most iconic roles in this slasher horror reboot.

  • Inu-Oh (2020) – Anime musical directed by Masaaki Yuasa set in 14th century Japan and follows an outcast from a troupe performing at wild concerts.

  • IT: Chapter Two (2019) – Horror adapted from the Stephen King novels that see the return of Pennywise.

  • Judy (2019) – Biopic on the famed singer Judy Garland who defied the odds to sell out a series of London concerts in the late 1960s.

  • Making it in Marbella (Season 1) Netflix Original – Swedish estate agents make bank by selling property in the holiday destination in Spain.

  • Point Break (2015) – Sports action thriller that combines the best of big-budget action set pieces and surfing. 

  • Robin Hood (2018) – Taron Egerton plays one of the most recognizable characters in the history of stories going up against the corrupt English crown.

  • The Mechanic (2011) – Jason Statham stars alongside Ben Foster for this crime thriller about a hitman who hires a new apprentice. 

  • The Missing (2023) – Sci-fi animated movie from the Philippines. 

  • Tim Dillon: This Is Your Country (2024) Netflix Original – Stand-up comedy special. 

  • Till Death (2021) – Megan Fox thriller about a woman left handcuffed to her dead husband as part of a revenge plot. 

  • Yellowjackets (Season 1)The first season of the critically acclaimed drama series from Showtime drops on Netflix. Starring Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.  

  • Win a Date With Tad Hamilton (2004) – Romantic comedy celebrating its 20th anniversary starring Kate Bosworth and Josh Duhamel. 

October 2nd

  • Chef’s Table: Noodles (Volume 1) Netflix Original – 4 episode spin-off to Netflix’s food docu-series.

  • Love is Blind (Season 7) Netflix Original – Washington DC is the location for the next season of the dating reality series.

Unsolved Mysteries (Volume 5) Netflix Original – New episodes of the popular docu-series. 

October 3rd

  • #OOTD: Outfit of the Designer (2024) – Indonesian drama. 

  • Blue Box (Season 1) Netflix OriginalAnime series.

  • Dan Da Dan (Season 1) New Episodes Weekly – Anime series. 

  • Heartstopper (Season 3) Netflix OriginalNetflix’s British teen drama continues

  • Ninjago: Dragons Rising (Season 2 – Part 2) Netflix OriginalAnimated series based on the LEGO spin-off franchise.

  • The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist (2024) Netflix OriginalA new special based on the hit DreamWorks movie arriving just in time for Halloween.

  • The Mole Agent (2020) – Documentary about an 83-year-old widower who goes on a spy mission where he infiltrates a nursing home. Basis of Netflix’s new series starring Ted Danson.

  • Trouble (2024) Netflix Original – Swedish action comedy about a electronics salesman that’s been convicted wrongfully of murder.

October 4th

  • CTRL (2014) Netflix Original Indian thriller starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat about a seemingly perfect influencer couple but that all turns horribly wrong after a cheating incident and the involvement of AI. 

  • The Platform 2 (2024) Netflix OriginalThe long-anticipated Spanish-language sequel to Netflix’s psychological horror that involves a vertical prison and a platform of food with this sequel switching up the formula. 

  • IT’S WHAT’S INSIDE (2024) Netflix Original – Teen mystery comedy for Halloween about a pre-wedding reunion that turns into a nightmare when a mysterious suitcase shows up. 

October 5th

  • Ranma1/2 (Season 1) Netflix OriginalShounen anime series about a Akane Tendo who meets her magical new fiance who turns into a girl upon touching water. 

October 6th

  • See For Me (2021) – IFC Midnight horror starring Kim Coates about a blind girl who house sits in a secluded house. 

  • The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (Season 2) Netflix OriginalReturn of the anime series back for a second batch. 

October 8th

  • Ali Wong: Single Lady (2024) Netflix OriginalStand-up comedy special.

  • Dinner Time Live with David Chang (Season 2 – LIVE) Netflix OriginalWeekly live episodes of the cooking talk show.

  • Her Blue Sky (2019) – Anime movie – Second-year high school student Aoi Aioi, aspiring to be a musician, becomes entangled in a complex situation when her sister’s ex-boyfriend Shinnosuke returns to town, while a younger version of him mysteriously appears, leading Aoi to experience her first love amidst a music festival invitation and past family sacrifices. 

October 9th

  • Girl Haunts Boy (2024) – Peyton List and Michael Cimino stars in this romantic fantasy film about a young boy visited by a ghost who has lived in his house for over a century.

  • The Life and Movies of Erşan Kuneri (Season 2) Netflix OriginalReturn of the Turkish sitcom.

October 11th

  • Pixels (2015) – Adam Sandler-led comedy featuring all your favorite video game characters.

  • Scream (2022) – The reboot of the slasher franchise starring Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera.

  • Uprising (2024) Netflix Original – Korean period military action movie starring Gang Dong-won and Park Jeong-Min.

October 12th

  • Clifford The Big Red Dog (2021) – Live-action adaptation starring Jack Whitehall and Darby Camp about the enormous big red dog. 

  • A Quiet Place: Part II (2021) – Horror follow-up starring Emily Blunt with the Abbotts venturing into the wider world where deadly creatures hunt down anything that makes a sound.

October 14th

  • A Sacrifice (2024) – Eric Bana and Sadie Sink stars in this mystery thriller about a man researching a local cult in Berlin. 

  • Mighty Monsterwheelies (Season 1) Netflix Original – Animated series from DreamWorks Television with reimagines of classic monsters into trucks.  

  • Unhinged (2020) – Russell Crowe stars in this action thriller about a woman who becomes the target of road rage. 

October 15th

  • Abandoned (2022) – Horror starring Kate Arrington and Emma Roberts. 

  • Detroiters (Seasons 1-2) – Tim Robinson and Sam Robertson stars in this critically acclaimed sitcom series that aired on Comedy Central. 

October 16th

  • Ancient Apocalypse (Season 2 – The Americas) Netflix Original – Docu-series presented by Graham Hancock and featuring special guest, Keanu Reeves.

  • I AM A KILLER (Season 5) Netflix Original – Documentary series.

  • Justice (2024) Netflix Original – Polish drama film about a young detective seeking the help of a discharged police officer in prison if he helps solves a bank robbery.

  • Selma (2014) – Oscar-winning biopic on Dr. Martin Luther King played by David Oyelowo. 

  • Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (2021) – Action movie about a warrior called Snake Eyes who trains to become the ultimate weapon. 

October 17th

  • Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance (Season 1) Netflix Original – Anime series based on the popular IP featuring Celia Massingham. 

  • Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (Season 2) Netflix Original – The next batch of episodes for Netflix’s popular animated series set in the world of Jurassic Park. 

  • Outside (2024) Netflix Original – Filipino horror zombie movie.

  • The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 3) Netflix Original – Every episode of the new season of Netflix’s legal drama series starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. 

  • The Shadow Strays (2024) Netflix Original – Indonesian martial arts film about a young assassin defying her mentor to save a boy from a crime syndicate. Directed by Timo Tjahjanto.

October 18th

  • Happiness Is (Season 1) Netflix Original – Romantic drama series from South Africa. About a woman called Princess turning forty and celebrating with a big Birthday bash which changes her life forever.

  • The Man Who Loved UFOs (2024) Netflix Original – Argentinian drama comedy about a journalist who sought proof of alien life and created a media circus while doing so.

October 22nd

  • Hasan Minhaj: Off With His Head (2024) Netflix Original – Stand-up comedy special. 

October 23rd

  • Family Pack (2024) Netflix Original – French comedy movie that has a striking resemblance to Jumanji about an old card game that transports a family into a medieval village haunted by werewolves.

  • The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox (Season 1) Netflix Original – Sports documentary series. 

October 24th

  • Beauty in Black (Season 1) Netflix Original – Tyler Perry is behind this new drama about a stripper who stumbles into a cosmetics dynasty. 

  • Territory (Season 1) Netflix Original – Australian drama starring Anna Torv and Michael Dorman. Succession-esque drama about the world’s largest cattle station being up for grabs as the owner passes away.

October 25th

  • Don’t Move (2024) Netflix Original – Finn Wittock and Kelsey Asbille star in this chilling new thriller about a woman racing through the woods after being injected with a deadly toxin by a serial killer.

  • Simone Biles Rising (Season 2) Netflix Original – This follow-up series follows the US Gymnasts’ trials and tribulations at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

  • The Last Night at Tremore Beach (Limited Series) Netflix Original – Thriller series from Spain is about a tormented pianist who has perilous visions about his future after being struck by lightning.

  • The Remarkable Life of Ibelin (2024) Netflix OriginalDocumentary on the secret life led by a gamer which only became known following his death.

October 29th

  • Monument Valley 2 (iOS and Android) Netflix Games – One of three Monument Valley games coming towards the end of 2024. 

  • Tom Papa: Home Free (2024) Netflix Original – The third stand-up comedy special from the US comic.

October 30th

  • Go Ahead, Brother (Season 1) Netflix Original – Polish crime drama series. 

  • Martha (2024) Netflix Original – R.J. Cutler is behind this new documentary looking into the life of Martha Stewart. 

  • The Law According to Lida Poet (Season 2) Netflix Original – Italian period drama series returns for another outing where Lidia’s sights are set on politics.

  • Time Cut (2024) Netflix Original – Madison Bailey and Antonia Gentry headline this new thriller about a teenage girl sent back to the early 2000s to stop a vicious killer. 

October 31st

  • Murder Mindfully (Season 1) Netflix Original – German series about a man looking to get away for a peaceful retreat but instead becomes a murderer. Whoops!

  • The Diplomat (Season 2) Netflix Original – The next season of the drama starring Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell about a career diplomat juggling her many hats.
